Senior System Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior System Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our IT infrastructure and client environments. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate independently in a remote-first work culture. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on-premise and cloud environments while supporting internal teams and enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments • Administrator Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and backup solutions • Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity planning • Implement security best practices, patch management, and compliance controls • Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution • Support cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) including IAM, compute, and storage • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting (PowerShell / Bash) • Collaborate with remote teams and provide L3 support when required • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator • Strong expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewall) • Hands-on experience with virtualization and backup technologies • Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM ticketing systems • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred) • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, AWS, or Azure (added advantage) • Experience supporting multi-client or MSP environments
